Emusic (Don't waste your money on this)

It looks like it would be nice enough with it offering tracks starting at around 25 cents per download, but then you must realize that this is either illegal or way to good to be true. Well it is in fact not illegal, emusic offers non-DRM tracks only. This means that many major record companies and artists will not allow their music to be hosted on here.

I picked up a 100 music download card for 30 bucks, not too shabby of a deal. but then when you register it asks you to enter your credit card info without even letting you use the card you already paid money for.

Searching the site is simple enough but it really does lack many of the popular artists, Metallica, Megadeth, Van Halen, Ozzy, Black Sabbath, and much more. It is however full of worthless tribute bands that really in my opinion just destroy the original song.

Pros: Cheap, many underground bands (such as Fintroll, Turisas, Korpiklaani)

Cons: cluttered with tribute bands, little to no mainstream music, complicated to download, many requirements, little to no customer support

I will never be using this website again, it looked promising at first but after about an hour of browsing I gave it a strong thumbs down.

Itouch $50!!!

Possibly my best deal ever!

Well, I bought this itouch before finals began a couple of weeks ago. I have had an mp3 player for a while now but never a brand name ipod. I have to admit I don't like itunes and perhaps never will but once you get used to it its nice to use as a music player.

But itunes is not the issue here, its about this ipod. well the device is pretty nice and being the first apple device I have ever owned (Microsoft lovers skip reading this next bit) it is leaving me with really nice impressions as a media player.

When i scored this deal from a friend (thanks lee!) it was really hard to pas up at just 50 dollars, i mean 8 gigs is about 1600 songs, that's quite a few for me and I still have 3 gigs free after syncing my entire library to it.

The reason it was sold so cheap was the fact that it has about 3 large cracks on the screen, this is not a big deal to me as you can hardly even see them when its turned on. I also recently jailbroke my itouch :) Boy was that an adventure. Mostly it was my error of misreading directions, and also my computer not wanting to behave.

All in all, I really like the itouch and it will be possibly the best electronic I currently own. the app store is awesome as it the cydia "store", syncing it is super easy and it has awesome navigation. Also with many products supporting apple now why not considering trying one out?

Here's how I jailbroke mine

Also how I decided to get this thing
